Management
Amber, LVT, Practice Manager
Amber joined the team at Kimbrough Animal Hospital in 2008 and has worked in veterinary medicine since she was 16 years old. Her responsibilities include doing the inventory order, taking care of hospitalized patients, and surgery prep. She considers surgery and laboratory testing her favorite part of the job. She holds an associate degree in applied science from Cedar Valley College and has a laser certification as well.
Amber lives on a small farm that includes two horses, goats, and many chickens. She also has four dogs and two cats. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and four children. She also loves drinking coffee, wildlife rehabilitation, fostering local rescues, and relaxing at home.
Sheryl, Kennel Manager
Kennel Manager Sheryl has been with Kimbrough Animal Hospital since 1993 as the kennel manager. She oversees the kennel and all our boarding pets. Over her 24 years as kennel manager, Sheryl has become skilled in handling all different pets.
“I think that we are all a special group of people,” Sheryl says. “Dr. Kimbrough is a great veterinarian. We treat pets like we do our own.”
At home, Sheryl has a 10-year-old Jack Russell/fox terrier mix named Amy, a 5-year-old Rottweiler named Ruger and an 11-year-old rat terrier named Xena. In her free time, she enjoys hunting and four-wheeling.
Medical
Adrienne, Certified Veterinary Assistant III
Adrienne has been with our team since 2019. She has over 15 years of veterinary experience and has worked in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. She has a Pitbull named Letty, a Maltese named Cici, two cats named Chester and Ginger, and two Boston Terriers named Charlie and Bella. She also has one python and one bearded dragon.
When she’s not working, she loves handmaking paracord leather leashes and collars, painting, and miscellaneous crafts and projects.
Atarah, Medical Staff
Atarah has been with us since 2021 and has past work experience at Andrews Vet Clinic. She has three dogs named Rusty, Mooshie, and Navani, and three cats named Bandit, Ahsoka, and Baggins. In her free time, she’s a scout BSA leader and loves camping, hiking, fishing, video games, tabletop role-playing games, and spending valuable time with family.
Cari, Medical Staff
Cari has been a part of the team since 2020. She holds an animal science diploma through PCDI and is also working on her associate degree. Her duties include the care of hospitalized patients, surgery assisting, x-rays, lab work, client education, and quality patient care. She’s been in the veterinary field since 2004.
When she’s not working, Cari loves serving the Lord at Woodland Hills Baptist Church and being a youth leader. She loves hanging out with her family and fellow team members. She has a Great Dane named Jegs, cats named Skeeter Bop Meowski Whiskers and Brisket.
Cari is the mother of Caysen and Tink and has two grandchildren!
Harmony, Medical Staff
Harmony has been a valuable member of our team since 2020. With 3.5 years of experience, she ensures everyone’s pets are clean, matte-free, smelling good, and have cut nails.
She has two Rottweilers named Brownie and Beauty, a Heeler named Stark, a Border Collie named Harvey, and a Chiweenie named Bonnie.
In her free time, Harmony loves playing board and card games with her kids. They love water in the summertime and cuddles when it’s cold!
Holly, Certified Veterinary Assistant II
Holly has been with Kimbrough Animal Hospital since September 1999. She is responsible for cleaning teeth, pulling and running labs, setting catheters, monitoring sick patients and assisting in surgery. Holly holds certifications in laser therapy, pet grooming, and nutrition, and is Fear Free certified. She has worked in the animal-care field since she was 16 years old and has a good ear when listening to clients while caring for their pets.
“I enjoy working at Kimbrough Animal Hospital because it’s a family environment,” Holly says. “It’s like a family.”
At home, Holly has three dogs named Shorty, Sugar, and Maggie; a domestic longhair cat named Leia; a domestic shorthair cat named Three; a rabbit named Albert; a beta fish named Bob; and a goat named Gotee. She also enjoys caring for her chicks and two geese named Lucy and Goosey. She spends her time away from work with her family. Holly has two daughters, ages 9 and 15, and Holly often attends after-school activities such as softball and volleyball. She also enjoys relaxing at home, fishing, and target practice at the gun range.
Jordan, Medical Staff
Jordan has worked for Kimbrough Animal Hospital since 2018. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two children as well as her three dogs, Graham, Happy, and Domino and her rescue cat, Clover. In addition to her work at Kimbrough Animal Hospital, she also works at the local emergency veterinary clinic and volunteers with rescue organizations. Jordan is currently in school to complete her RN-BSN degree and hopes to further her education to human medicine.
Lisa M., Medical Staff
Lisa has been with our team since 2022. Bilingual and with a background as a veterinary care provider, she is able to provide aid to many of our clients. When she’s not working, she loves trying new restaurants, visiting new places in the surrounding area, and traveling. She has a pug named Bear and a cat named Delilah.
Matt, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Matt has been with our team since 2021. He has four years of prior experience from the Michigan Humane Society. In his free time, he loves PC gaming, reading, and going to conventions. Matt also has two cats named Howard and Clarence.
Nicolle, Medical Staff
Nicolle helps to maintain patient rooms, assists with treating animals, restraining pets during appointments, helps with exams, and runs lab work. Nicolle has such a positive attitude, and she loves spending time with all of the wonderful animals that come in to visit the office! She has been working at our facilities since 2018. She’s currently in school and has prior experience in the US Army.
A true animal lover, Nicolle has several pets of her very own! Ellie Mae is a 2-year-old Pit Mix, and Dee Dee is a 6-month-old Border Collie. She also has pets named Reef, Nora, Steven, Elsa, Nova, and Amy Rose. Nicolle loves working at Kimbrough's because there are tons of learning and growing opportunities! Everyone here truly feels like family. When she is not working, Nicolle loves spending time with her husband and 2 kids, and she loves to shop for her family and fostering for her local rescue.
Rebecca, Medical Staff
A great attitude, an understanding of the value of teamwork, and patience are three important attributes that Rebecca brings to her role at Kimbrough Animal Hospital. With us since 2012, her responsibilities include feeding and exercising pets, keeping the kennels clean, and administering medication when needed.
When she is not working, she loves spending time with her kids, Riley who is six, and Bentley who is four. They love going on family vacations. She also has a Bichon named Buster who is four years old.
Shelby, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Shelby’s responsibilities include drawing blood, obtaining vitals, assisting during exams, filling medications and of course, “lovin’ on patients.” Shelby loves knowing that she has contributed to making an impact on their patients and client's lives. She looks forward to seeing her co-workers and meeting new clients every day.
Shelby has two dogs, three cats, two bunnies, six chickens, five ducks and a rose haired tarantula. In her free time, Shelby enjoys gardening, traveling, painting, and exploring the woods with her daughter and animals. A goal she has set for herself is to run a half-marathon in every state. So far, she has conquered Iowa and Illinois with Texas approaching in October.
Customer Service
Alexandria (A.J.), Customer Service Representative
A.J. is a Customer Service Representative here at Kimbrough Animal Hospital, who joined our team in July 2017. Her daily duties include preparing the daycare schedule, grooming, training, boarding, and helping pets feel comfortable. She has her Bachelor's in Animal Science from Oklahoma State. A.J. loves watching our patients improve as they become more comfortable and trustful in our care.
At home, A.J. has two dogs, Huck and Samson, and one oscar fish named Dude.
"I spend my free time with my dogs," A.J. shares. "They love the park and dog friendly stores. Honestly, my life revolves around them."
Cindy, Customer Service Representative
Receptionist Cindy L. Lackey’s knowledge of veterinary medicine and self-proclaimed gift of gab come in handy as she answers phones and assists clients with checking in and out of the hospital. Not surprisingly, interacting with Kimbrough clients and their pets is what Cindy likes most about her job.
Cindy began working with animals in 1981, and held positions at three other clinics before coming to us in July 2016. “The facility works like a family unit,” she said. “There is lots of love and camaraderie, along with respect for each other makes this a great place to work. The clients and their pets are fantastic!”
Cindy has a houseful of pets, including four Chinese Cresteds (Jack, Pearl, MeMe and Whody), a rescued heeler-mix named Ruby and “assorted felines.” She’s a member of the Chinese Crested Club of America, shows dogs in conformation events and has several champions and grand champions in her breeding program. When Cindy takes a break from her dog-related activities she loves to fish, bike and travel.
Donna, Customer Service Representative
Call Center Representative Donna joined the team at Kimbrough Animal Hospital in 2014. Reliable and hard-working, she is responsible for performing call backs to check on sick or recovering surgery animals, and also maintaining patient reminders by phone.
“I like working at Kimbrough Animal Hospital because it is like a family,” Donna says. “The camaraderie here is so good. Teamwork is a big here and everyone is really good at working together.”
Donna shares her home with a 2-year-old Chihuahua named Pinkee Jo, a 4-year-old Chihuahua named Suzee Marie, an 8-year-old Chihuahua named Alee Kat and a 4-year-old Yorkiepoo named Windee Lu. She showed horses for 45 years and enjoys teaching her dogs basic tricks. Outside of the hospital, Donna enjoys drawing, animal art and spending time with her dogs.
Haley, Customer Service Representative
Haley joined Kimbrough Animal Hospital as a receptionist in 2017. She is responsible for answering phones, checking clients in, scheduling appointments, and providing client communication. Haley has an outgoing personality and enjoys being able to interact with clients and patients.
“The environment is FANTASTIC, everyone is really friendly and helpful,” she says.
At home, Haley has 2 cats and a dog. When she is not spending time with her family, Haley is usually spending time serving others. She rarely isn't working but does like to travel when she has the opportunity.
Kathy, Customer Service Representative
Customer Service Representative Kathy has been with Kimbrough Animal Hospital since February of 2017. Her responsibilities include meeting animal's needs, laundry, stocking equipment and taking care of the animals. She also assists our clients, doctors, and our care providers with their needs. She has a CVA level one and a Bachelor of Business Administration. In the past, she’s worked with Rescue FEP since 2016 and has worked for Gregg County for 30 years.
“I really enjoy my coworkers. They help me learn new things about the care and treatment on animals,” she says.
She has 10 dogs, two cats, three fish, chickens, and a bird named Lexie. In her free time, she loves spending time with her eight grandbabies and all her pets. She loves rescuing pets who are in need.
Susana, Customer Service Representative
Susana has been a part of our team since December of 2020. With five years in the veterinary field, she is well-versed in providing our clients with top-notch assistance. She loves painting, singing, and traveling with her girls when she's not working. She has a Pitbull named Azul and a Pit mix named Luna.
Kennel
Cyndy S., Kennel Staff
Kennel Technician Cyndy joined Kimbrough Animal Hospital in April of 2017. Cyndy has an Associates of Arts from Kilgove College and prior experience pet sitting and working for an animal rescue. Her responsibilities include meeting the needs of all animals at the clinic and boarding facility. She is also responsible for making sure that the hospital and boarding area are clean. She most enjoys caring for the animals and interacting with them one-on-one while feeding and walking them.
“Everyone is so nice and fun to work with and has a great and caring attitude,” she says of working at Kimbrough Animal Hospital.
She is a pet parent to 4 dogs Gustave, Leah, Eia, and Rusty as well as 2 cats, Snowy & Eukide. While her free time is limited, when she does have it she loves to travel!
Diean, Kennel & Daycare Staff
Diean is a full-time Kennel Technician here at Kimbrough Animal Hospital! She is responsible for feeding, medicating, holding for techs when necessary, and helping out with the doggy daycare. Diean also provides plenty of love and cuddles for all of the dogs in our care! Before joining our team in November of 2019, Diean gained experience fostering dogs with Regard 4 Life Animal Rescue. She is so passionate about caring for her doggy fosters and helping to find them loving homes. Diean has several pets of her own, including her American Pitbull Terriers Scarlett (7), Penelope (4), and Sophie (4), as well as Bubba (12) the American Bully, and her cat Chance (5).
Lisa L., Kennel Staff
As a part of our team since January of 2021, Lisa has two years of vet assistant experience as well as three years of high-volume boarding and daycare assistance. She has an eight-year-old Beagle mix named Riley. In her free time, Lisa loves playing pool, hiking, visiting state and national parks, video games, and archery.
Miranda, Medical & Kennel Staff
Miranda has been a highly qualified member of our team since July of 2021! She has six years of high-volume surgery tech experience, four years of grooming experience, two years of private practice vet tech experience, and has worked in boarding and day care facilities since 2010.
When she’s not working, Miranda loves hiking, camping, visiting state and national parks, crocheting, and pet and landscape photography. She has two dogs named Zoey and Zero and two crested geckos named Spyro and Norbert.

Angie, Groomer
Angie has been a part of our dynamic team since 2021. With over 30 years of experience grooming, she provides the best service for our furry patients. She has two dogs named Beans and Jazzie and when she’s not working, she loves bowling, 4-wheeling, camping, and raising her seven-year-old grandson.
Chelbi, Bather
Chelbi has been working with us as a bather since 2021. She’s worked in animal-related fields for the past two years. She has a corgi named Charli, a golden retriever named Marshall, and a horse named Dreamer.
In her free time, she loves riding her horse, reading, and taking her dogs out to do fun activities!
Kelsi, Bather
Kelsi joined our team in October of 2021. As a kennel tech, her duties include walking, feeding, and cleaning up for the dogs. She also observes the dogs in daycare. She has two dogs, a Cane Corso and a Catahoula. When she’s not working, she loves crocheting beanies and blankets.
Lauren, Bather
With 15 years of past work experience at Longview Animal Hospital as a veterinary and kennel technician, Lauren provides pets with the best of care. Currently, she’s working on an A.A. in history from Kilgore College. She has two dogs named Billy and Fancy, a cat named Nimi, and a quaker parrot named Pete. In her free time, she loves gardening, reading, music (classic rock and blues), antiquing, and is a car enthusiast.
